After receiveing Gold for four consecutive years, ALD Automotive Switzerland receives the Platinum EcoVadis certification for sustainability

After four consecutive years of being awarded Gold, ALD Automotive has improved even further in its drive for sustainability, and has now received the Platinum Medal, the highest EcoVadis certification.

For the fifth time, ALD Automotive underwent the process of analysis performed by the international EcoVadis platform, and was able to meet the high-level evaluation standards with regard to corporate social responsibility.

Ecovadis examines the responsible behaviour of companies in relation to the prevailing economic, social and environmental factors. For the sustainability rating, the disciplines of environment, labour and human rights, as well as ethics, are analysed.

The result from the previous year was able to be increased to 75 from 100 points, and led to the achievement of the highest Ecovadis certification – PLATINUM. Above all, the improvement by 10 percentage points in the environmental assessment category contributed to the achievement of the platinum standard. One particularly pleasing development: with this excellent result, ALD Automotive has made it into the top 1 per cent of the companies assessed by EcoVadis.

Following the strong results in previous years, Antonio Arcaro, Director Sales & Partnership, is also delighted with the improvement of the EcoVadis result: “I am proud that we were able to improve at such a high level, and continue to be motivated in striving to achieve our sustainability goals.”
